I haven't written yesterday's and today's poems yet, but Andrew's blog made me think, Hey, that's a good idea.
So here's a list of what I've read so far in 2008. According to the numbers, I'm right on track. Now if only I could get ahead a little . . .
The Cold Moon, by Jeffery Deaver, mystery
Born Standing Up, by Steve Martin, memoir
Good Omens, by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, fantasy (Technically I started this in 2007, but I read almost all of it in 2008.)
Too Busy Not to Pray, by Bill Hybles, non-fiction
The Darkangel, by Meredith Ann Pierce, YA fantasy
Find Me, by Carol O'Connel, mystery
Abhorsen, by Garth Nix, YA fantasy
I Heard That Song Before, by Mary Higgins Clark, mystery
Garden Spells, by Sarah Addison Allen, fiction
The Scarlet Pimpernel, by Baroness Orczy, classic
The Mysterious Benedict Society, by Trenton Lee Stewart, children's fiction
Dead Beat: The Dresden Files, by Jim Butcher, urban fantasy
Funeral Music, by Morag Joss, mystery
Song of Albion: The Paradise War, by Stephen Lawhead, fantasy
Strange Blood, by Lindsay Jayne Ashford, mystery
Falling, by Christopher Pike, mystery
Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen, classic
Change of Heart, by Jodi Picoult, fiction
Smoke and Mirrors, by Neil Gaiman, fantasy
IT, by Stephen King, horror
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, by Jean-Dominique Bauby, memoir
Greywalker, by Kat Richardson, urban fantasy
Two of a Kind?, by Greg Cox, spy novel
Book of the Dead, by Patricia Cornwell, mystery
Keeping Faith, by Jodi Picoult, fiction
Song of Susannah: Dark Tower VI, by Stephen King, horror (Yes, Andrew, I finished it! Have you started reading any JP yet?)
Oh! I also read one of Billy Collins' collections of poetry, The Trouble With Poetry, one night in the tub when I was in a bad mood. Everyone should read some Billy Collins. There is no writer in any genre that quite compares to him.
I'm in the middle of Neil Gaiman's American Gods, and another Harry Dresden novel. And I barely started The Three Musketeers, but I put it down when Dark Tower VI started picking up. So far, only four books have been re-reads. Which I think is pretty good. I think I might end up reading everything Neil Gaiman has written this year, between buying more books and wanting to re-read what I already have.

Andrew has a blog??
And yes, you're on track. I need to read another 5 books before the end of the month to stay on track!
Yeah, but he's on Multiply, which is more regulated than Blogger. With Blogger, your blog is just out there. With Multiply, you can only see someone's blog if you are signed up as well and they have added you as a contact. You can also post an entry and select from your list of contacts exactly who you want to see it. It's nice. I've been posting all my challenge poems there just for the heck of it. It also has a lovely cross-posting function, so I can create a post on Multiply and then have it show up here. If you want on Multiply, just say the word and I'll invite you.
